Ruth L. Fowlkes-Troop is from Milwaukee, WI and worked as a Hairstylist for 25 years. 

     In 2011 she began doing stand up comedy and shortly after that acting, writing and producing. 

     Her movies include: Role Play, Civilian Life and Disconnection Notice. She has also written a play called “The Salon”. 

     As a teen, people always said she was funny while she fixed their hair… on her lunch break at school! Moving forward as the owner of a Salon, she got to enjoy the best of both worlds again.
